CeCe T. asked: Hiya! I’m having trouble with my Bamboo tablet that I got for Christmas. It works fine when I use it regularly (like surfing the web or MS Paint), but every time I open up Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter Essentials, the mouse cursor goes all crazy! For example, I hover my pen over the bottom right hand corner of my tablet. On the computer monitor the cursor ends up somewhere in the middle. This is really upsetting me because I want to actually make art on the computer. Please help!
I’ve tried to mess with the Bamboo Properties, but it’s not working…
Note! This ONLY happens with Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter Essentials, but not with MS Paint.
I have already downloaded the newest driver from the Wacom website. Also, now I cannot even go through the tutorial because of the same problem: when I hover over the bottom right corner of my tablet, the cursor is somewhere in the middle of the computer monitor.

E M asked: I’m getting a new computer and I really like the swivel action of the pavillion. I need some advice on why to buy it or not. My budget is about 1,000 dollars or so. I was wondering if you could also tell me if when you take notes with the stylis, does it change the writing into typing?

JeeVee asked: I recently acquired a Xp pen tablet (cant afford wacom) and pixia and pensigner software.
It seems tobe working on and off.
I have never used a graphics tablet before.
I turned on pixia uploaded the pixia format file and selected add new layer and pen and color but the mouse is working but the pen is not ?
I did double tap the pen on the tablet but the computer seems to be ignoring the freehand connect command which I htought linked the computer to the tablet and only the mosue is working?
The tablet icon is active on the screen and the cord plugged into the usb port and the green light is active on the tablet.
Why is it working on and off?
I am trying to trace over a scanned file saved as a jpeg that I converted to pixia
It seems to work automatically one session then not work the next.
Am I overlooking some simple command or action?
There’s no one I can ask offline to demo it for me!
college is shut for summer and they all use wacom there!

the rain won’t go away asked: My friend’s been problems with her Wacom Tablet and her computer altogether, she couldn’t post this question due to that– so I’m doing it for her. It’d be nice if I have an answer :]
“HOW DO I TURN OF THE FUCKING HANDWRITING RECOGNITION FOR MY TABLET ON WINDOWS VISTA?!!?!?!?
I have a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.
I just got a new laptop. Windows Vista home edition.
I installed my tablet. Handwriting recognition comes up when I try to draw.
I cant find anywhere to turn off THE GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING HANDWRITING RECOGNITION.
Please help me before I murder my computer. PLZ&THANKYOU.”
She wants to use the tablet for drawing instead of writing.

thing2202 asked: Can anyone recommend a good tablet pc for me?
I want it to be lightweight, portable, stylish, yet rugged.
I would like to use it for traditional computing as well as for music, pictures, maybe some light gaming, and most importantly AutoCAD and hopefully Photoshop or Illustrator.
Can you actually draw in AutoCAD with a tablet PC, or a comparable program such as Google Sketchup?
Any advice is welcome. I know a fair amount about computers, but am quite unfamiliar with tablet pc’s.
Thanks
Dolores
matoki asked: I really want to major in Graphic Design, but I keep hearing how hard it is to find a job with all the competition there is. I’m going to take AP Design and Commercial Art in school this year. I’m not so great with computers, but I’ve been practicing with a tablet and photoshop and improving. Should I continue to pursue Graphic Design, or go for a more stable major?

Ryodu asked: I have recently encountered a problem with my computer/photoshop/tablet. Basically Photoshop CS4 has a few querks and just adding the pen pressure effect will cause it to freeze up from time to time. I invested my money in CS4 and I bought the tablet and would like to continue to use them both. Is there a program out there that would enable me to use layers, possibly trace over any sketches for lineart, and then let me import it into photoshop?

Ambiguous asked: I have a HP tc4200 Tablet. My brother used an incorrect charger, and we think it fried the motherboard.
It’s $300.00 for a new motherboard.
The same computer, but used is $800.00.
My question is should I buy the new motherboard (is it guaraneed to fix the problem?) or buy a used laptop, and sell the other one for parts?
