Should I get the HP Pavillion TX2050EA Notebook with tablet PC?
E M asked:
I’m getting a new computer and I really like the swivel action of the pavillion. I need some advice on why to buy it or not. My budget is about 1,000 dollars or so. I was wondering if you could also tell me if when you take notes with the stylis, does it change the writing into typing?

One of the very basic functions of a TabletPC is to turn your handwriting into text should you wish it.
Some apps have this function built right in but most don’t. So for the ones that don’t you use the Tablet Input Panel (TIP) which can pop up on-demand at any field where text can be input.
Then you write your sentences (TIP grows as you reach the end of each line), or you can enter via Letter mode (for wierd words not in dictionary, URL’s, etc), or you can switch to on-screen keyboard.
The advantages of a TabletPC is the much higher degree of mobility. You can operate your machine while standing in a hallway, walking, lounging about, etc. You just can’t do that easily with a laptop.
